Mind-body connection

mind-body connection

For years scientists have looked into understanding the mind-body connection, and in recent years science has started to recognize the close connection between the mind and body. Emotions, thoughts, believes, feelings, and actions can positively or negatively affect our physiology and vice-versa.

The mind-body connection happens both at the physical and chemical level. Hormones and neurotransmitters are produced depending on our emotional state and impacting our body. Studies show that stress endured over a long period of time changes the way the body functions and contributes to disease. Studies also show that repressed negative emotions are even more detrimental to our health. Therefore, addressing our emotional world is so crucial to our health.

I believe that by raising awareness of the mind one can learn efficient ways to support the body and vice versa. I integrate my mindfulness and meditation knowledge into my work and often collaborate with like-minded practitioners such as naturopaths, acupuncturists, and chiropractors to achieve the highest level of wellness for my clients.
